Nairobi/Oloitokitok (Kenya) – The 3rd Project Meeting of the MAPs ACE initiative took place on 24–25 April 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted by Herbspice Market (Kenya) in cooperation with SAEOPA (South Africa), University of Mauritius (Mauritius), No Gravity (Slovakia) and of course prof. Ákos Máthé (Hungary). The meeting gathered partners from Africa and Europe to review the project’s progress across all seven Work Packages, including activities on e-learning, training materials, pilot demonstrations, and entrepreneurship. A special session was devoted to female entrepreneurs, featuring both on-site and online participation. The event also included a press conference attended by local and international media, as well as a Stakeholders Meeting with more than 35 professionals from the MAPs sector. Partners presented achievements in education, digitalisation, and climate-smart solutions supporting the sustainable cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants.

The 2nd Project Meeting of the MAPs ACE initiative took place on 9–10 December 2024 in Ebène, Mauritius, hosted by the University of Mauritius in a hybrid format combining on-site and online participation. The meeting gathered partners from Africa and Europe to review the project’s progress across all Work Packages, including management, stakeholder engagement, e-learning development, entrepreneurship, digitalisation, and climate change mitigation. During the meeting, partners discussed the structure of e-learning modules, stakeholder selection, and technical tools such as weather stations and Wi-Fi cameras for pilot sites. The event also featured a visit to the Balaclava pilot location, where the installation of monitoring equipment marked an important step in the implementation of the project’s technical activities.

Bratislava (Slovakia, February 5, 2024):
The Kick-off Meeting and 1st Project Meeting of the MAPs ACE initiative took place on 30–31 January 2024 in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, hosted by No Gravity and organised in a hybrid format via Google Meet. The event officially launched the MAPs ACE project under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building programme and gathered all partner institutions from Africa and Europe. During the sessions, participants discussed the overall project objectives, timeline, milestones, and responsibilities across the seven Work Packages. Partners also introduced their organisations, presented initial plans for activities in Mauritius, Kenya, and South Africa, and agreed on the development of the project logo, website, and e-learning platform. The meeting concluded with planning of field-based learning activities and a visit to the Safe Food Lab, a Slovak start-up producing allergen-free and gluten-free food products.
